Louis Carreon

Drawing from his colourful past and background in street art, Californian-born Louis Carreon is a visionary contemporary artist known for his enigmatic, abstract images inspired by religious iconography and classical education. Using art to reflect on the adversities of his past, his work fuses contemporary ideas with classic concepts, paying homage to art history and the unique styles of master painters such as Caravaggio, Rubens, and Raphael. In the last few years, Carreon has been commissioned by Soho House, The Verb Hotel, and the Viper Room. In 2015 he was commissioned by Landmark Aviation to paint one of his signature murals on a 12-seater private jet for Art Basel.
